Super Regional Tournament Rules 

1.      COACH/FAN BEHAVIOR- any coach or player who receives two technical fouls in a game MUST leave gym and facility.  He/she will not be present at the next game. A second game ejection, you are banned from the remainder of the tournament.

·         Any fan asked to leave a game, is banned for the remainder of the tournament.

·        Coach, you are responsible for the behavior of all of your team, including your parents and fans!

2.      Home team (first team on pool) sits on the right facing the scorer’s table and wears white if colors are similar. Only those with AAU cards are allowed on the bench (maximum of 15 players and 4 coaches - one of those 4 may be a scorekeeper).  Scorekeeper must be on bench – not at official table – and may not approach official table except during time outs or half time.  All bench personnel MUST be wearing their credentials.

3.      Games will consist of:

·        9U’s & 10U’s four 7 minute quarters

·        11U’s –13U’s  two 16 minute halves

·        14U’s – 15U’s two 18 minute halves

·        16U’s – 18U’s two 20 minute halves

4.      The clock may run in the second half if the deficit is more than 30 and the trailing coach ask for it (DO NOT ASK THEM) for 9U’s – 13U’s ONLY!!!     14U’s-18U’s whole game is stopped clock.

5.      Halftime is 8 minutes.

6.      Game time is game time.  No game will start early but each team will receive a minimum of 10 minutes warm-up time.

7.      There are four full time outs and two 30’s per regulation game.

8.      Overtimes for 9U’s & 10U’s are 3 minutes with each team receiving one (1) additional full timeout, 11U’s – 18U’s are 5 minutes with each team receiving one (1) additional full timeout.

9.      Coaches and players may call timeout.

10.  Tie Breaker in Pool Play is: 2-way tie – head to head, 3-way tie – points differential totals determine 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd etc. with a maximum of 13 points per game

11.  NCAA Women’s Basketball rules will be used.

·        30 second shot clock applies to all ages

·        No 10 Second Back Court Rule

·        After a Technical Foul (2 shots), the team who had possession previous to the Technical gets the ball back, at the spot the ball was when the technical was called – except if for excessive time out.  No shooting on team control fouls.

·        Last Minute of Game (or overtime) – Clock Stops on Made Basket.

·        No 5 second closely guarded rule on a dribbler.  There is a 5 second held ball rule anywhere on the court when being closely guarded.

·        One and One will take place on the 7^th foul, and two shots on the 10^th.

·        On Free Throws – The first spot is above the block!

·        6 players total may line up on the lane (4 defensive and 2 offensive)

·        No player may line up below the block on the lane

·        Players on the lane may enter on the release of the shot

·        All other players must be behind the 3 point line and can not cross the 3 point line until the ball hits the rim.
